3 cups All Purpose Flour | Maida

to taste Salt

3 tablespoon Curd

¾ cup Milk

3 tablespoon Butter

¾ teaspoon Baking Soda

10 cloves Garlic

2 tablespoon Sugar

Water

Butter / Ghee for brushing on top

How to Make Garlic Naan on Tawa

  • Take curd, milk,baking soda,sugar..Mix well. Set aside.
  • Take garlic in a blender and puree. Set aside.
  • Take flour, salt, garlic, oil in a bowl and rub with your hands.
  • Add in milk mix and knead it to dough.Let it rest for 1 hour.
  • Divide it into equal balls. Roll it into rounds.
  • Heat a tawa till hot. Wet the top of the naan with water and flip the water side down on hot tawa.
  • Invert it over hot flame and let it cook till you see black spots on it.
  • Brush it with some ghee or butter. Serve.

Garlic Naan in Oven

  • Preheat the grill mode in the oven to 250°C /500°F
  • Take a small portion out of the dough and roll it into circle. Now elongate the top with your hands so that it forms naan shape(oval shape)
  • Place it on a baking tray. Sprinkle with some garlic and press it with your hands so that it get stuck to the naan.
  • Place it in the oven on the top rack near to the grill and cook it for 3-5 mins till the top gets little golden spots.
  • Remove from the oven and brush it with butter.
  • Serve warm with any curry.
